The Killing Floor, directed by Gideon Raff, really delves into that claustrophobic vibe. You’ve got this literary agent who moves into a slick penthouse and then it all spirals into a nightmare. The atmosphere is thick with dread as he starts receiving these eerie crime scene photos from his own apartment. It’s like the walls are closing in on him. The pacing builds a real sense of paranoia, and those stalker videotapes? They just add to the feeling of being watched. The practical effects are nice too, they ground the horror in a way that feels tangible. Performances are solid, especially in how they capture the slow descent into fear. Definitely an interesting take on the thriller genre with a very unsettling edge.
Notable for its atmospheric tensionStrong themes of isolation and paranoiaInteresting take on modern horror storytelling
