The Knot

The Knot follows the lives of Chen Qiushui and Wang Biyun, whose love story begins in Taiwan before the 228 Massacre. Their promise to reunite is tested as Qiushui serves as an army doctor during the Korean War, where he meets Wang Jindi, a nurse from Shanghai. Years pass, and while Qiushui builds a life in Tibet with Jindi, Biyun remains in Taiwan, holding onto memories of their past.

In a modern twist, Biyun's niece, a writer portrayed by Isabella Leong, embarks on a journey to Tibet to uncover Qiushui's fate. Through her correspondence, Biyun reconnects with her past, reigniting emotions long buried. The film's runtime is 117 minutes, offering a deep dive into the characters' complex relationships and the impact of historical events on their lives.
