The Last Suspect

Danny Breznitz, a late 40s detective in the Tel Aviv Police, finds himself in a hospital bed after a near-fatal car accident. His life is in turmoil as his relationship with his mistress, Eva, deteriorates while he shares an apartment with his wife, Ruthie. After recovering, Breznitz is assigned a seemingly trivial case that he initially dismisses. However, when an unknown body is discovered in the woods, he becomes embroiled in a deeper investigation.

As Breznitz interacts with various characters from Israel's underbelly, including a misguided Arab intellectual and a transformed prostitute, he becomes increasingly obsessed with uncovering the truth. This obsession not only drives the plot but also threatens his life.
