The Legend of the Icon

The film follows Rin-san, a young Japanese girl who arrives in pre-revolutionary Russia with a mission to learn about iconography and connect Japan to Russian Christian culture. Unbeknownst to her, she arrives at a time when Russia is on the brink of significant upheaval, with the impending rise of atheism threatening traditional values.

As Rin navigates her new environment, she faces challenges from envious nuns and becomes entangled in a tragic love story involving a terrorist-regicide. This narrative weaves together personal and cultural conflicts against the backdrop of a pivotal historical moment.
