The Lord's spy

The film follows Maeda Tsunanori, the lord of Kaga Domain, who faces a familial crisis involving his two young princes. Katsumaru, the son of his deceased legitimate wife, suddenly loses his mind, leading to a contentious request for power transfer to Yasunosuke, the son of his concubine. This request is denied by the shogunate, stirring conflict within the family.
