The Magic Screen

The film centers on two brothers, Angelo and Tonino, who operate a truck cinema in Italy. Their journey leads them to Emilia-Romagna, where they encounter political tensions and personal relationships that challenge their loyalties. Angelo becomes involved with a wealthy marchesa linked to the fascist movement, while Tonino aligns himself with anti-fascist rebels.

As the narrative unfolds, the brothers are faced with critical decisions that test their values. Tonino's commitment deepens after the death of his friend Giovanni, an anti-fascist activist. The film culminates in a powerful moment when Tonino interrupts a screening to project images revealing the murderers of Giovanni, urging the audience to confront their choices.
