The Master Sergeant

The Master Sergeant follows the story of Hojjat, a man who kills both a depraved individual and his wife, leading him to flee south. With the help of Rahman, he attempts to escape across a water border at night, but he is pursued by authorities. The plot thickens when Rahman commits further violence, killing the boatman and the sergeant who is investigating Hojjat.

Sergeant Mokhtar, the newly appointed sergeant and Hojjat's uncle, tries to convince Hojjat to abandon his plans to cross the border. The narrative delves into Hojjat's personal life as he arranges to marry Maryam, the daughter of Sergeant Mokhtar.
