The Metropolitan Opera: La Rondine

This film presents Puccini’s La Rondine, a bittersweet love story centered on the character Magda, played by Angel Blue. The narrative follows her relationship with Ruggero, an idealistic young man who offers her a chance at a different life far from her extravagant existence.

Conducted by Speranza Scappucci, the production captures the essence of Parisian nightlife and the allure of the French Riviera. The Art Deco-inspired staging adds a unique visual element to the performance, enhancing the experience of this classic opera. Alongside Blue, the cast includes Jonathan Tetelman, Emily Pogorelc, and Bekhzod Davronov, rounding out a strong ensemble.
