The Music Box

The story follows Lu Ping, a barber who accidentally kills a Japanese officer and escapes to a small town to evade the consequences. Upon arrival, he falls in love with Jiayi, the daughter of his master's brother, who is engaged to an officer for security during wartime. As the narrative unfolds, Lu faces the repercussions of his actions when he is labeled a traitor after the Anti-Japanese War. Jiayi intervenes to save him, but their paths remain complicated as war and personal choices dictate their futures.
