In 1993, amateur filmmaker Warren Werner created his first feature, Pumpkin, with a meager budget of $600. The film, shot on VHS, faced immediate backlash from the Alabama community due to rumors of Satanic rituals involving Werner and his girlfriend, Samantha Dixon. Following their tragic suicides, a documentary was initiated but left incomplete, leading to the creation of The Nobodies.
