The Oath

This film tells the story of the first anniversary of the founding of the new China. A central delegation travels to Yunnan's ethnic areas for research while inviting representatives from 26 ethnic minorities to Beijing for National Day ceremonies. Upon returning to Yunnan, these representatives pledge to establish a monument, the "Pu'er Monument of National Unity Pledge," which was built on New Year's Day in 1951.

The monument serves as a unique historical symbol, representing revolution, history, and ethnicity in China. It is recognized as the first monument of national unity in the country, embodying the spirit of great national unity. The film captures the significance of this event and its impact on the cultural landscape of China.
