The Odyssey of Joy

The film follows Lis, a 10-year-old boy whose father is missing due to the Kosovo war. Living in a cramped apartment with his family during the early 2000s, Lis struggles to cope with a secret that weighs heavily on him. To escape his reality, he joins a French trio of clowns who are in Kosovo to entertain local children.

As the story unfolds, Lis learns that he cannot evade his emotions forever. The film weaves together themes of childhood innocence, the impact of war, and the importance of confronting one's feelings.
