The Palace

The Palace follows Machteld, a fourteen-year-old girl, as she experiences the nightlife at a discotheque for the first time. Coaxed by an older friend, she quickly realizes that the atmosphere is not suited for her age. As she wanders around feeling out of place, the high-priced piña coladas add to her discomfort. Ultimately, she finds solace when her father arrives to pick her up, allowing her to revert to her true self.
