The Perfect Muslim

The Perfect Muslim follows Nikolai Lang and his one-man think tank, the Danish Center for Integration Analysis (DCIA). Lang aims to conclude the Danish debate on integration by defining the characteristics of the Perfect Danish Muslim. He employs focus groups, telephone interviews, and expert consultations to gather insights into Danish culture.

The film presents Lang's findings to young second-generation immigrants in Gellerup Parken, Århus, questioning their readiness to adopt his ten rules for integration. As he seeks to uncover the ideal, director Fenar Ahmad also reflects on his own experiences as a member of a family that immigrated to Denmark from Iraq, adding a personal narrative to the examination of cultural identity and integration.
