The Price of a Story

This short film presents a rich Czech tourist who, along with his translator, seeks the storytelling prowess of an Inuit shaman, known as an Angakkoq. Their meeting is set against the backdrop of a local museum, where the tourist is eager to learn about a legendary encounter between their ancestors. The shaman shares a fictional tale that brings to life the historical context of the first Christian missionaries in Greenland.
