The Raggedy Rawney

Set during World War II, The Raggedy Rawney tells the story of a youth who deserts the army after a traumatic combat experience. In a bid to escape, he injures his commanding officer and disguises himself in women's clothing. Joining a gypsy caravan, he is mistaken for a young girl and begins to navigate his new life as a kind of seer, or 'rawney'.
