The Repentant

Set against the backdrop of Algeria's high flatlands, The Repentant follows Rashid as he leaves the mountains to return to his village amidst ongoing violence from Islamist groups. Under the law of pardon and national harmony, he surrenders to the police and receives amnesty, becoming a 'repenti'. However, this newfound status does not absolve him of his previous crimes.

The narrative reveals Rashid's struggle as he embarks on a journey filled with violence, secrets, and manipulation.
