The Ruthless

After serving time in prison, Stathis seeks out a private investigator named Othonas to find his long-lost mother, who disappeared during the German Occupation. Their meeting quickly escalates into a quarrel over the investigator's lack of progress on the case. Frustrated, Stathis reclaims his position within his old gang and begins a series of scams targeting vulnerable individuals.

As Stathis navigates this criminal underworld, he grapples with the emotional fallout of losing his former love, Vana, who has moved on with his second-in-command, Michalis. However, Stathis finds solace in his growing relationship with Stella, Vana's sister, who works at the Red Cross. This film weaves a narrative of betrayal, love, and the complexities of human relationships against the backdrop of 1960s Greece.
