So, "The Seance" is a bit of a mixed bag, really. It sets up this moody vibe right from the start with a creepy house and a YouTube star trying to debunk a medium. The pacing has a nice build-up, but sometimes it feels a tad predictable. The practical effects, though, are where it shines—really adds to the unsettling atmosphere. The performances are decent enough; you can tell the actress brings a certain authenticity to the role, which is refreshing. The themes of skepticism versus belief are interesting, especially in how the characters react to the supernatural elements. It’s not groundbreaking, but it has its moments that stick with you.
