So, 'The Second Act' is an interesting blend of comedy and drama. You've got this quirky setup where Florence is head over heels for David, but David's not feeling it at all, which leads to some awkward and funny moments. The setting—a restaurant out in the sticks—adds a sort of surreal isolation to the whole affair, making the character interactions feel really tense yet hilarious. The pacing drifts in and out of moments of real emotional weight, especially with the dynamics between the four. There's a raw, almost improvised vibe to the performances. The practical effects are minimal, which I appreciate, letting the character-driven storytelling shine. It really captures those complicated relationships we all know too well.
