The Seventh Heaven

The film revolves around Chan Siu-hung, who is forced into prostitution while being pursued by the police. Ching Chi-ko steps in to protect her by pretending to be her husband, leading them to live together in a roof hut called the 'Seventh Heaven'. As the war breaks out, Ching is drafted and faces the harsh realities of hard labor under the Japanese army.

After the war, Ching returns crippled and fabricates a story about being married to try to steer Chan away from him. However, Chan's unwavering devotion leads to complex emotional conflicts between the two.
