The Shining Armour is interesting in its exploration of friendship and the passage of time. You have Victor, the conductor, who's caught up in the glamour and chaos of his lifestyle, and then there’s Sander, the writer, who seems more introspective, perhaps even envious of Victor’s charm. Bert, the doctor, adds a grounded contrast to their ambitions. The pacing meanders a bit, which, to me, lends a certain reflective quality to their reconnection after decades. The performances are pretty solid—each actor brings something unique to their complex roles. The atmosphere is nostalgic yet bittersweet, really capturing the essence of what it means to reconnect with your past. It’s definitely a slow burn but has a certain depth that lingers.
