The Silent One

The film follows the journey of a baby who washes up on a Pacific Island and is taken in by a childless woman. The tribal priest quickly labels the child as a demon due to his deafness and muteness, leading to his exclusion from traditional activities like hunting. In his solitude, he forms a bond with a white turtle, providing a glimpse into his world of isolation.

As drought strikes the island, the priest's animosity toward the boy intensifies, blaming him for the misfortune. Tensions rise as the chief defends the boy, leading to a plot against the chief orchestrated by the priest. The narrative delves into the conflict between ignorance and reason, highlighting the challenges faced by the silent one in a world rife with superstition.
