The Skulls III, directed by J. Miles Dale, takes a somewhat different route compared to its predecessors, infusing the familiar secret society intrigue with a female perspective. The pacing has its moments—slow in parts, but it builds tension nicely as our protagonist digs deeper into the shadows of the Skulls. There's a certain atmospheric quality that hangs over the film, almost palpable, as the sinister undertones of ambition and betrayal play out. The performances are decent, with a mix of youthful energy and a hint of desperation, capturing the lengths some will go to for power. While it doesn't break new ground, the exploration of themes like corruption and the price of belonging offers a distinctive layer that sets it apart from typical thrillers.
