The Star of Cottonland

The narrative follows Chibi-neko, a two-month-old kitten abandoned by her previous owners. She is taken in by Tokio, an 18-year-old boy struggling with his own challenges. Despite his mother's fear of cats, she allows Tokio to keep Chibi-neko, hoping it will help him overcome his withdrawal after failing university entrance exams.

Chibi-neko believes she is a small human who can communicate in words, although humans hear only her meows.
