The Story of Jinshan Demon

The film follows the crown prince, who is gravely ill, as his father, the Emperor, seeks a cure. An expert determines that the prince must convert to Buddhism with a "Buddha bone relic". To spare his son’s suffering, the Emperor sends Pei Lunde, who shares the prince's fate, to take on the role of a monk.

As Pei Lunde embarks on this journey to Jinshan Temple, rumors circulate about the powerful relic that could grant immortality. This attracts the attention of various demons and evil spirits eager to seize the relic for themselves. The abbot of Jinshan Temple, aware of the impending danger, assigns Xiao Wu, a member of the Demon Subduing Monks, to protect Pei Lunde during his perilous journey. The film weaves together elements of adventure, folklore, and spiritual quests, making it a unique addition to the fantasy genre.
