The Story of Xiao-Yan

Thirteen-year-old Xiao-Yan is focused on her studies and dreams of a better future. With school fees increasing, her mother struggles to support her education while her father is away. Undeterred, Xiao-Yan devises a plan to raise the necessary funds.

During her school break, she takes on the responsibility of caring for her younger brothers while seeking out ways to earn money. Her initial attempts to sell eggs are disappointing, but she learns from the local cattle market and partners with a street-smart urchin. Together, they decide to raise a lamb to sell for a profit, showcasing Xiao-Yan's determination and ingenuity in overcoming obstacles.
