The Stronghold

The Stronghold takes place during the Yom Kippur War, specifically at the "Mazakh" bastion on the Sinai front. It follows the story of 42 soldiers led by a young lieutenant from the Seder yeshiva as they face a surprise attack from Egyptian forces. The narrative explores their fight to repel enemy advances while dealing with casualties among their ranks.

In parallel, the film presents the struggle of a reserve doctor in the TAGD bunker, who is desperately trying to save the wounded and calls for evacuations that do not materialize. The story culminates in a moral choice between adhering to traditional values and the instinct for survival. The film draws on historical events to depict the challenges faced by individuals during wartime and the decisions that can define their fates.
