The Summer in Nanjing

The film follows He Nanjing, a veteran bus driver with a flawless safety record, as he navigates the pressures of infertility in his marriage to Wei Li. Their relationship faces challenges that lead to separation, allowing both characters to reflect on their lives and feelings.

During this tumultuous time, He Nanjing encounters a young boy named Tongtong, raised by a single parent. The bond that forms between them provides a new perspective on love and family, ultimately guiding both He and Wei Li towards rediscovering what truly matters in their lives.
