The Thirst for Gold

The Thirst for Gold follows Urbain Donnadieu, whose love for money drives him to commit tax evasion and theft from his own construction company. He marries a tax inspector, Fleurette, to avoid penalties, but his greed leads him to plan a getaway to Switzerland with stolen gold bars hidden in a model house. Along for the ride is his money-driven Granny Zézette, adding a layer of humor to this comedic tale.

As Urbain attempts to secure his fortune, he faces obstacles from his wife and a resentful former chauffeur.
