The Wonderful Partner

Wong Chat finds himself without a job and turns to burglary to survive. During one of his break-ins, he hides in a closet just as the owners return home. This encounter leads him to forge an unexpected friendship with Cheung, who is also caught in a complicated situation involving Han, a woman coerced into becoming a wealthy man's mistress.

As Wong and his neighbor Yeung Oi-lin devise a plan to help Han, they disguise themselves as affluent guests at a banquet hosted by the tycoon Chan Koon-kau. Their goal is to retrieve a document that Chan uses to threaten Han. However, they uncover more than they bargained for, including evidence of Chan's involvement in drug trafficking.

The film culminates in a tense confrontation between Wong and Chan, where Wong's determination to protect his family and friends leads to dramatic consequences. With the police arriving just in time, the story highlights the themes of justice and camaraderie amidst a backdrop of crime and social disparity.
