The Wound

The Wound follows Blandine, who arrives at Charles de Gaulle Airport looking to reunite with her husband Papi in Paris. Instead of a warm welcome, she faces the harsh reality of being detained in a cramped cell with other asylum seekers, enduring humiliation and mistreatment. The film captures her struggle against the bureaucratic system and the emotional toll of her situation.

As Blandine deals with the threat of deportation, her connection with Papi remains a focal point. Their eventual reunion takes place in a communal squat, where stories of hardship are shared among the inhabitants. The film highlights the challenges faced by immigrants in a new country and the resilience required to navigate such difficult circumstances.
