Their Seed

The film centers around Mi-hwa, the owner of the Precious Hotel, alongside her employees Shin-ae and Yeon-hwa. They engage in selling alcohol and tea to men during the day while leading a more clandestine life at night. The narrative unfolds with Seong-gyu, a frequent visitor to the hotel, who pursues all the women there, requesting them to bear his child.

Amid the hotel’s activities, a mysterious long-term resident named Jol-su hints at a deeper connection with Mi-hwa, adding layers to the story. Yeon-hwa's experience is further complicated by the unexpected visit of Gyeong-jin, which brings surprises and tensions into the mix. Their Seed explores themes of survival and desire against a backdrop of historical strife, offering a unique perspective on women's lives during this era.
