Their Story

The film follows Shibnath, who is released from prison after serving eleven years for assaulting a British officer. Upon his return, he finds his family displaced and struggling as refugees due to the upheaval from Partition. His wife hopes to rekindle his spirit by encouraging him to ally with his friend Bipin, who wants to exploit Shibnath's reputation to gain political power.

Despite offers for a new life, including a teaching position, Shibnath grapples with the loss of his homeland and the disconnection he feels from the life he once knew. Their Story presents a poignant narrative about the personal toll of national change and the search for purpose in a transformed world.
