So, 'Themselves' is quite the interesting piece from 2011. It revolves around Tae-sung, a blind man who collides with Jinee’s car. Instead of the usual hospital drama, they embark on this trip together, and it's really a character study more than anything. You get this unique blend of desperation and hope, as both characters carry their own emotional burdens. And then there's Su-hee, a boxer battling her own demons of self-worth, which adds another layer to the narrative. The pacing feels slow at times, but it allows you to digest the heavy themes of connection and healing. The performances are pretty raw, giving it a gritty realism that’s hard to shake off, and the atmosphere really immerses you into their world. It’s definitely not your typical drama.
