This is Rattle

This is Rattle captures Simon Rattle's first concert as Music Director of the London Symphony Orchestra. The film features a program that centers on British composers, starting with the world premiere of Helen Grime's Fanfares, which is part of the larger work Woven Space.

The concert includes violinist Christian Tetzlaff performing a concerto composed for him by Harrison Birtwistle in 2010. It also features two significant pieces that resonate with Rattle: Thomas Adès' Asyla and Oliver Knussen's Symphony No 3.
