The story follows Ossorio, a man on a desperate quest to save his lost lover from the clutches of a violent mob. As the city descends into turmoil with an armed military faction threatening to seize control, Ossorio's journey takes him through grim and unsettling circumstances. His search leads him to a shabby hotel where he meets Victoria, who introduces him to her father, Barcala. For a price, Barcala offers passage on his boat, but time is running out for Ossorio to find the woman he loves before the ship leaves.
