Thousand Pieces of Gold

This film follows Lalu, a young woman sold into marriage in China, who ends up in an Idaho gold-mining town. Renamed China Polly by a saloon owner, she faces a grim future as a potential entertainer. Instead of succumbing to her fate, Lalu chooses to forge her own path in a foreign land filled with hostility.
