Threshold (2003) is one of those TV movies that sneaks up on you with its unsettling premise. The whole alien seed concept is pretty unique; they hitch a ride back from space and start growing on Earth, which is a chilling idea. The pacing keeps things engaging, and you can feel the tension building as the seeds multiply. The practical effects have this gritty charm to them, something that's often missing in today's CGI-heavy landscape. Performances are decent, with a couple of standouts that really sell the urgency of the situation. It's not without its flaws, but there's a certain atmosphere that lingers long after the credits roll. Definitely worth a spot in a genre collection, if you’re into that retro sci-fi vibe.
