Thunderbolts is an interesting mix of action and sci-fi. It’s got this gritty, almost raw atmosphere that fits well with its themes of redemption and confronting the past. The pacing feels pretty tight, especially when the team is forced into dire situations that really showcase their character arcs. Jake Schreier's direction brings a unique visual flair too; you can see he leans into practical effects, which gives the action scenes a more tangible feel compared to the usual CGI-heavy fare. The performances from the ensemble cast are solid, with each actor bringing a distinct energy that plays off one another. It’s definitely not your standard superhero flick, and that’s part of its charm.
