Thunderstruck (2012) carries a light-hearted vibe, perfect for family viewing. It plays with the classic body swap trope but throws in the unique angle of basketball stardom. The film features Kevin Durant, whose performance is surprisingly charming, and the kid, Brian, does a decent job embodying that teenage dream of overnight success. The pacing is pretty breezy, keeping things engaging without dragging. You can feel the warmth of the high school setting, and it captures the ups and downs of sports life quite well. The film dives into themes of humility and the pressure of expectation, all wrapped in a comedic package. It won’t change your life, but it does offer a nice blend of laughs and heart.
