Till Divorce Us Do Part

The story follows Miguel, a young Spanish naval engineer who falls in love with an American art history student. When she becomes pregnant, they opt for a civil marriage, which poses significant challenges due to the Catholic Church's influence in Spain at the time. The only way for Miguel to marry her civilly is to apostatize from the Church, leading to an internal struggle for him as a devoted believer.
