Time is Money offers a rather unique blend of comedy and drama, which is a bit of a rarity in the genre. The pacing feels a touch uneven at times, especially in the second act where Chen Mo's misfortunes pile up, but it adds to the chaotic feel of his life spiraling out of control. The atmosphere is infused with a certain light-heartedness, even as it tackles heavier themes like addiction and loss. Chen's relationship with the painting from Chu Zhong Tian adds a layer of depth that you don’t typically see in a comedy. Performances are decent, though not groundbreaking, but there's something charming about the way they handle the absurdity of their situations. It's distinctive for how it blends the farcical with moments of genuine reflection.
