To Walk Beside You

The story follows Norio, a 17-year-old boy who, after contemplating suicide, is persuaded by his English teacher Akemi to move to Tokyo and pursue a career in law. Akemi's financial situation is not as secure as she claims, leading to complications in their arrangement. Norio develops feelings for Akemi, but he is less motivated to study, creating tension as he learns the truth about her secret job at a karaoke bar.
