The story centers on Max, a 16-year-old who is at odds with his parents, particularly his father Yvon. As a lock and alarm manufacturer, Yvon struggles to connect with Max, resulting in a growing gap in their relationship. Max's rebellious nature leads him to sneak out to a party, where he experiences his first love with Audrey. However, his insolence leads to expulsion from school, prompting a violent reaction from his father and ultimately causing Max to run away.
