Tracks in the Snow

The film follows a stockbroker who leaves his village of Pervola, entrusting his two sons with his business. The older brother, Hein, cheats younger brother Simon out of his inheritance, claiming that Simon's homosexuality disqualifies him. As time passes, Hein gains power while Simon struggles with the consequences of their father's choices.

Years later, the dying stockbroker summons his sons, and Simon agrees to honor their father's wish to be buried in Pervola. Reluctantly, Hein helps Simon transport the body, fearing that Simon will uncover his past deceit. During their journey, Hein inadvertently confesses his wrongdoing, but Simon's moral strength allows him to forgive his brother, culminating in a poignant exploration of familial bonds and forgiveness.
