The story follows Silje, Markus, and Bendik, who refer to themselves as tower agents. They have a secret club room located at the top of an old church tower. When a character named Klausen threatens their Christmas play and plans to steal money, the tower agents spring into action to thwart his plans.

In a twist, the tower agents gain access to a mysterious key that transports them back in time, where they meet significant biblical figures such as Mary, Joseph, and the wise men. This time travel adventure leads them on a quest to create a new Christmas play and save their holiday traditions.
