The film juggles two romantic interests, with the lovely Gwyneth Paltrow and the charming Vinessa Shaw bringing depth to their roles. The pacing feels contemplative, which might not be for everyone, but it allows the themes of isolation and longing to breathe. The practical effects are minimal but effective, grounding the viewer in this almost claustrophobic world. The performances are just raw enough to make it feel very human, not overly polished, which is something I appreciate.
