In Unification Of Japan 8, the Osaka war concludes with the Kyowakai taking control of the city. The story follows Kawatani, played by Hitoshi Ozawa, who is celebrated for his leadership and appointed as the Kyowakai's main family Wakagashira. Alongside him, Himuro (Yasukaze Motomiya) and Tamura (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi) navigate the complexities of expanding their organization.

As Yamazaki-gumi rises in power, Himuro's focus on reforming the organization and establishing legitimate business ventures presents new challenges. A minor clash between Tamura’s young members and the Yanagase Rengokai sets off a new conflict, intensifying the narrative in Gifu following the events of the Osaka battle.
