So there's this film, 'Unknown Project' from 2013, directed by Steve Altman. It's got a really interesting setup – three documentary makers decide to camp in the desert after Burning Man, and things take a turn for the eerie. The whole thing is shot through these five RV cameras, which gives it a raw, almost voyeuristic feel. You get the sense of isolation and creeping dread, you know? The pacing can be slow, but I think it really builds tension. The practical effects aren’t overdone, which adds to the authenticity. The performances feel genuine, almost like you’re eavesdropping on real people caught in something out of their control. It’s a unique blend of horror and sci-fi that plays with the idea of surveillance and what lurks just outside your vision.
Interesting use of found footage techniques.Captures the essence of isolation in the desert. The theme of surveillance adds a layer of depth.
